Marco Vulpiani

Marco Vulpiani holds a Master’s Degree in Aircraft Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. He is now completing a Ph.D. program in Business Administration at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
He has more than twenty years of professional experience in corporate finance.
Before joining Deloitte, after a short experience in the Aerospace industry as a designer (Fiat Avio S.p.A., Elettronica S.p.A.), he worked for about six years in the ENI Group, in the Strategic Planning department of the Downstream business, where he was in charge of strategic development projects. As Strategic Development Projects Manager he was responsible for the valuation of several M&A and strategic projects. He also participated in the IPO of ENI (he was member of the work group that followed all the phases of the privatization).
As an Equity Partner with Deloitte Financial Advisory, he is the head of the “Valuation Services” line in Italy and is the Financial Advisory Innovation Leader. He has been responsible for numerous advisory projects, including Business Valuation, Purchase Price Allocation (PPA), Fairness Opinions, Business Planning, Valuation for Reporting, PPP, Financial Modeling, M&A transactions, among others.
He is a Contract Professor of Advanced Corporate Finance at Luiss Guido Carli University and has been a Contract Professor at L’Aquila University since 2003.
He has authored several publications about business valuation with primary publishers (including the book "Special Cases of Business Valuation with Mc Graw Hill"). He has been a speaker in numerous conferences about Valuation and M&A. He is also member of the Management Board of the Italian valuation standard setter "Organismo Italiano di Valutazione" (OIV).
